Summer Crump

Summer Crump joins our firm with an extensive background in medicine. She is licensed and board-certified to practice medicine in Virginia. Summer started out as an EMT and Emergency Room technician in 2001 while earning her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and minors in Biochemistry, Psychology, and Chemistry at Old Dominion University. She went on to obtain her Masters in Physician Assistant from Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) in 2007 where she was awarded the Paragon award for her outstanding achievements.

Summer has taught Anatomy and Physiology, acted as a medical expert in wrongful death and medical malpractice lawsuits, started her own company rehabilitating distressed real estate properties, and served as a motivational speaker for various organizations and outreach programs across the United States.

During Summer’s tenure in medicine, she was responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients. Her proficiency in medicine stems from her practice in the fields of pediatrics, family medicine, ambulatory medicine, correctional medicine, and internal medicine, with much of her practice being in the field of emergency medicine where she was employed in numerous hospitals throughout the state of Virginia.

Due to the paradigm shift in medicine, the decision to change careers was an easy one. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from Regent University School of Law in 2023. Combining her medical and legal knowledge allows her to advocate for her clients effectively. Being fluent in the medical jargon affords her a unique advantage in litigating medical malpractice and wrongful death claims, particularly those that are medically complex.

In her free time, Summer enjoys spending time with her two children and elementary school sweetheart traveling and playing sports.
